Sat. 5/9 from 10am-1pm: Healthy Summer Festival @ Safety City! FREE for all ages.

Get ready for the healthiest and safest summer yet! Join local children and youth agencies at Safety City, Hodges Community Center and City of Lubbock Parks & Rec! Find out what to do this summer to stay safe, healthy, and have a blast doing it!

This is a free family event with lots of fun activities, including carnival games, entertainment, fitness classes, demonstrations, dog agility, Quickstart Tennis, climbing by Bodyworks, children's immunizations (bring shot records), car seat safety checks, health screenings for adults and seniors, and the largest Zumba class ever. Families will be able to pick up health and safety information and to find out about all of our great summer activities. This year's festival will include the opportunity to purchase local farm fresh produce from vendors with the Lubbock Farmer's Market. There will be door prizes and activities for all.

Safety City is a unique kid-sized town where children learn hands-on the rules of pedestrian, bicycle and traffic safety - and have fun!

Bring your bike, scooter or skateboard.... or you can rent one there (with or without training wheels for only $2!). Also don't forget a helmet!
