Description
NOTE Location Change due to weather: Sat. 4/16 from 9AM-3PM: The Lubbock Memorial Arboretum Plant Sale taking place inside Hodges Community Center due to rain.Got spring fever? Ready to break out the gardening tools? Well, the Arboretum has just what you need!
We will be selling a wide variety of quality plants perfect for your yard, porch, and garden, all at unbeatable prices! All proceeds will benefit the educational outreach programs, such as our Children's Garden Camps, at the Arboretum.
We will also have a KIDS ZONE just for our young gardeners with races, snacks and garden activities, so feel free to bring the kiddos!
The NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY will be in attendance selling Texas native plants, and providing information on how to grow these drought tolerant beauties in your gardens! The SOUTH PLAINS TEXAS MASTER NATURALISTS will also be present to answer your questions about our wildflower garden project and the "Bring Back the Monarchs to Texas" efforts at the Arboretum.
In addition to plants, we will also be selling our popular RAIN BARRELS and RAIN BARREL KITS! Rain barrels allow you to collect the water that comes off your roof and then use it to water the plants around your house! These are a great way to conserve water, and perfect for this time of year with the increasing amount of rain we've been getting recently!
Once you've picked out all the plants your heart desires, feel free to take a walk around one of the Arboretum's many paths. Also, there are a lot of beautiful plants that are just about to bloom or are currently blooming! See what you can find!
This is a fun and wonderful event that that you do not want to miss! Please spread the word to all your friends, family and avid gardeners!
